: Lead Software Development Engineer Position Type (FT or PT): Full Time - Regular
Area of Interest: Software Development
Location: Seattle HQ
Description: The Media Applications Platform Services (MAPS) team builds the core systems that drive RealNetwork's various consumer services including: RealGuide, RealArcade, RollingStone.com, film.com, gamehouse.com and the Rhapsody Subscription Music Service. These core systems include a state of the art content management system, user data services, and media authentication/authorization systems.

The Lead Developer will design, develop and maintain the order path application as well as other UI applications. The order path application is responsible for capturing purchases and provisioning data with the back end MEP platform.

Key Accountabilities (% of Time)
1. Design and develop required functionality for the order path and other UI applications accurately, efficiently and effectively. - 70%
3. Debug and troubleshoot production issues. - 20%
3. Work with other developers, the Creative team and the program management team to flush out requirements/design. - 10%

Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or computing related discipline

Preferred:
- Master's degree in Computer Science

Minimum Experience:
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience developing enterprise Java applications.
- At least 3 years experience of hands-on development experience using Web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- At least 2 year of Spring MVC and Spring Web Flow hands-on development.
- At least 3 years experience with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, TestNG).
- Experience with CVS or other version control systems.

Preferred:
- 5-7 years of hands-on experience developing enterprise Java applications.
- 5-7 years object-oriented software engineering experience.
- 2 year of Maven 2 experience.
- Prior experience integrating with web-based services.
- Experience working in an agile environment.
