Located in Bellevue, Washington, ArenaNet is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Korea-based NCsoft Corporation. The studio was formed in the spring of 2000 with the goal of creating a state-of-the-art interactive game network, and of developing premier multiplayer, online games. Having built such a network, ArenaNet continues to improve upon it, keeping stride with current technology and offering new and innovative approaches, such as a subscription-free business model, instanced missions, and streaming updates, which eliminate the need for patching.

ArenaNet's diverse staff has come together from many different countries and cultures. The team members speak a variety of languages, which— with the common bond of a love for games — help them understand the needs of the global gaming community, and allows them to listen and respond to feedback from fans around the world. In keeping with the spirit of bringing people together, ArenaNet designs and operates servers that allow gamers to play with anyone, anytime, anywhere in the world. The person in this position will work with other QA testers at ArenaNet to test pre-released videogames for a period of three to four weeks from the end of July through August 22nd. Testers will play through up to 200 hours of game play and identify all errors within the German version of the game for correction prior to the release of the game to the public.

QA - German Localization QA Game Tester

Major Job Duties:

Responsible for locating errors, flaws, bugs, incorrect translations and functional bugs in the German version of the game. The candidates must be fluent in both written and spoken German
Document errors to be corrected and confirm bug fixes once the game is updated
Identify all spelling, consistency or grammatical errors within the text of the German versions of games

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

Game testing experience for MMOs or MMO experience preferred
Must be fluent in both written and spoken German
Ability to work in a team environment
Excellent attention to detail
Strong writing and communication skills
